01Who we are & acceptance

"Yahavi Forge", "Forge", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Hackknow, a digital-products brand operated by Gagan Chauhan, based in Delhi, India ("Hackknow"). "You" means any person who accesses or uses Forge.

By accessing forge.hackknow.com, creating a HackKnow account, or using any Forge tool, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

02What Forge is

Forge is a browser-based "AI Career OS" — a collection of tools including the Resume Builder, Career Intelligence / ATS Optimizer, Resume Roast, Job Tailoring, Interview Coach, Career-Gap Framing, Achievement Generator, and Portfolio Generator. The tools send your inputs to an AI model you choose and return generated text.

03Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Forge.

An account is optional. Forge's tools work without signing in. If you choose to sign in, you may use a HackKnow account via Google, GitHub, or email (a single sign-on shared across the Hackknow ecosystem). You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and connected provider accounts secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at the contact below if you suspect unauthorised use.

04Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Forge operates on a bring-your-own-key model. To generate output you supply your own API keys for third-party AI providers (for example Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Together AI, Mistral, or Cohere).

Because of this, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your use of each AI provider is also governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for complying with them;
• You are solely responsible for any usage, rate limits, charges, or billing arising on your provider accounts — Forge is free, but your providers may have their own free-tier limits or fees;
• You are responsible for safeguarding your keys, including clearing them (via the in-app "Keys" panel or by clearing site data) on shared or public devices;
• We cannot recover, reset, or access your keys, because we never receive them.

05Acceptable use

You agree not to use Forge to:

• break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
• submit another person's personal data or resume without their permission;
• generate content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive (including fabricating qualifications or experience), harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for circumvention, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure;
• misrepresent AI-generated output as independently verified or as professional advice.

06AI output & no guarantees

Forge produces AI-generated text. AI can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date, and may "hallucinate" facts. You are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and editing every output before you rely on or submit it.

07Your content

You retain all rights to the content you enter (resumes, job descriptions, text) and to the output you generate. We do not claim ownership of it. As described in our Privacy Policy, the text you enter into a tool is processed in your browser and sent to your chosen AI provider; Hackknow does not store your resume or job-description content on its servers.

08Our IP & open-source license

The names "Hackknow", "Yahavi", and "Yahavi Forge", along with our logos and branding, are the property of Hackknow and may not be used without permission.

The Yahavi Forge application source code is published as open source under the MIT License in our public repository; your rights to the code are governed by that license. These Terms govern your use of the hosted service at forge.hackknow.com, which is separate from the code license.

09Third-party services

Forge relies on third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms:

We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, content, or practices.

10Disclaimer of warranties

Forge is provided "as is" and "as available", free of charge, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that output will meet your requirements. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Forge at any time without liability.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hackknow and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, opportunities, or employment, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) Forge, even if advised of the possibility. Because Forge is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed INR 1,000 (or the equivalent). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hackknow and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of Forge, your content, or your breach of these Terms or of any third-party provider's terms.

13Termination

You may stop using Forge at any time and may delete your account (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will continue to apply.

14Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice on the site. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

15Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Forge. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
